Welland in flood

After vast amounts of rain fell on saturated ground on Wednesday morning, the river level is probably as high as I have seen it.  Small cars have been unable to drive through the floods on the road to Lyddington, and at least one person had to be rescued with their car.

Worse further on.

In the river itself the weir is hardly visible.

Corby boating lake

Taken with my mini camera, and some photos are not very sharp.

First a few of the many goslings, and then some posturing by two herons.

Boating Lake Birds

Crows in the willow

Coming in to land - and no he hasn't really got passengers.

Boldest of birds - greylag. The pink footed geese have blacker beaks.
