Birds in bushes in the snow

First, the fieldfares - we had four of them at one stage.







Then a redwing. See photo below.
Redwing, not quite in focus, but look at the colour. 

Then there were the blackbirds battering five bells out of each other as usual, and sparrows, and starligans . . .
A moment's respite?

Welland in flood

After vast amounts of rain fell on saturated ground on Wednesday morning, the river level is probably as high as I have seen it.  Small cars have been unable to drive through the floods on the road to Lyddington, and at least one person had to be rescued with their car.
